My gas bill
Your concessions
You may be entitled to a concession or rebate on your natural gas account. You should contact your retailer to see what discounts they offer.
What if I have trouble paying my bill?
Retailers may have hardship arrangements in place to assist customers. If you are experiencing difficulties paying your natural gas bill, you should approach your retailer and ask what alternative arrangements they have available.
My gas has been cut off - who do I call?
You should contact your gas retailer if your gas has been disconnected.
Can I get one bill for electricity and gas?
You may get two bills from different companies for your electricity and gas. If you prefer to have a single energy bill, you could ask your current electricity and gas retailers whether their products include the supply of both electricity and natural gas. If so, you might want to ask whether there are any discounts or other offers available as a 'dual fuel' package, and compare offers.
If your current retailers don't offer a 'dual fuel' option with a single bill, you should shop around for a retailer that suits your needs.
My meter has not been read for a while...
Your gas meter should be read at least once per year, but sometimes the meter readers are unable to access your property, so they must estimate your reading. If you are concerned that your meter has not been read for a while, or are concerned that the estimate on your bill may be wrong, contact your retailer.
I have questions about my bill
Please contact your retailer if you have questions about any of the following:
- High accounts
- High supply charges
- Faulty meter
- Back billing of faulty meters
- Estimated accounts
- Disconnections for overdue accounts
- Security deposits
- Transfer of old debts onto current accounts
- Multiple supply charges for multiple meters
